Tool-less rails and hot-swap bays

Installation uses the included ReadyRails for square or round-hole racks; no tools are required to secure the chassis. Eight 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays connect to the PERC H730P controller, which supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. The controller battery backs cache during power loss. Common issues arise when mixing SAS and SATA drives without verifying backplane cabling or when the iDRAC9 Enterprise licence is not activated before deployment.

512 GB DDR4 with 3 TB ceiling

The 512 GB installed (16 × 32 GB modules) leaves eight empty DIMM slots for expansion up to the 3 TB maximum supported by the C620 chipset. Two 300 GB 10 K SAS drives provide fast boot and scratch space but fill only a fraction of the eight-bay capacity.
