The system targets businesses that need dense compute for virtualisation, databases or internal cloud workloads.

H730P RAID controller with eight 960 GB SAS SSDs

The H730P hardware RAID card manages the eight 960 GB SAS solid-state drives, providing hardware-accelerated redundancy and cache-backed write performance. iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management is included for out-of-band monitoring, power control and virtual console access. Redundant 1100 W power supplies, rails, bezel and power cords ship with the chassis.

PCIe Gen 3 expansion limited to eight slots

Up to eight PCIe Gen 3 slots are available for additional network, storage or accelerator cards. The embedded Intel X550 network daughter card already provides two 10 Gb RJ45 and two 1 Gb RJ45 ports. No optical drive bay is present, and the 2.5 in drive cage is fully populated with the eight SSDs, leaving no internal bays for further storage.
