It ships with 64 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across four slots and a PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache. The platform targets software-defined storage, service-provider workloads and virtual desktop infrastructure.

Verify rack space power and network before ordering

The chassis occupies 2U of rack height and requires two 750 W platinum-efficiency hot-swap power supplies for redundancy. Confirm your cabinet can supply adequate airflow and PDU connections for both units. Network connectivity uses an Intel X520/I350 daughter card providing two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports, so ensure compatible switch optics or copper modules are available. The iDRAC9 Enterprise module needs a dedicated management network segment for remote console and lifecycle control.

Fits dense storage builds with room to grow

Twelve drive bays accept SATA or SAS disks behind the H730P controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. Twenty-four DIMM slots allow memory expansion up to 3 TB when workloads demand more capacity.
