Purpose-built 2U rack server

The Dell PowerEdge R750 is a 2U rack server fitted with two Intel Xeon Silver 4316 processors. Each CPU provides 20 cores at 2.3 GHz with a 3.4 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 1 TB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across 32 DIMM slots. It targets organisations running databases, analytics or virtualisation workloads that demand high core counts and large memory capacity in a standard rack footprint.

Thermals noise and power

Two hot-swap 1400 W platinum power supplies deliver redundant power for continuous operation. The 2U chassis uses forced-air cooling designed for dense 2.5-inch drive populations and dual-processor thermal loads. Fan speeds scale with inlet temperature and workload intensity to maintain component limits. Acoustic output rises under sustained compute or storage throughput but remains within typical data-centre norms for this class.

Build integration and expansion

The front bay holds 24 SAS hard drives of 1.8 TB each on a PERC H755 controller with 8 GB NV cache supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60. A Broadcom 5720 quad-port 1 GbE OCP 3.0 adapter provides network connectivity. iDRAC 9 Enterprise enables remote management without a local console. Rails and a front bezel are included for rack mounting. PCIe Gen 4 slots remain available for additional accelerators or storage controllers.
