The Dell PowerEdge R760 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Gold 5418Y processors. Each CPU provides 24 cores running at 2.0GHz with a 3.8GHz turbo frequency. The system ships with 768GB of DDR5-4800 ECC registered memory installed across 24 modules. It targets virtualization, AI, databases and software-defined storage workloads.

Verify rack space and power before ordering

Confirm your cabinet accommodates a 2U form factor and provides redundant hot-swap power connections for the two 1400W platinum supplies. The motherboard uses LGA 4677 sockets and supports a maximum of two processors, which are already populated. Memory expansion is possible up to 8TB across 32 total DDR5 slots. No drives are included, so plan storage separately.

PERC H965i controller enables NVMe RAID

The bundled Dell PERC H965i controller adds 8GB of non-volatile cache and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for SAS, SATA and NVMe drives. Sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap trays are installed for immediate drive deployment. The Broadcom 5720 quad-port 1GbE OCP 3.0 card provides four network links. iDRAC9 Datacenter offers full remote management with Lifecycle Controller.
