The Dell PowerEdge R760 is a 2U rack server built for virtualisation, AI, databases and software-defined storage. Two Intel Xeon Gold 6430 processors provide 32 cores at 2.1 GHz with 3.4 GHz turbo. 256 GB of DDR5-4800 ECC registered memory is installed across eight modules. The system supports up to 8 TB across 32 slots.

Verify rack space and drive selection before

Confirm you have 2U of rack height and compatible rails for a 2U server. The chassis provides sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays that accept SAS, SATA, SSD and NVMe drives; no drives are installed. The PERC H965i controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with 8 GB NV cache. Network connectivity uses a Broadcom 5720 quad-port 1 GbE OCP 3.0 card.

Hot-swap bays and redundant power simplify daily

Sixteen front drive trays allow drive changes without downtime. Two 1400 W platinum hot-swap power supplies deliver redundancy. iDRAC9 Datacenter provides full remote management including power control and firmware updates. Ready rails and a front bezel are included for rack mounting.
