The Dell PowerEdge R930 is a 24-bay rack server built for heavy enterprise workloads. It ships with four Intel Xeon E7-8860 processors, each delivering 18 cores at 2.2 GHz with 45 MB cache. The system includes 128 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered memory across eight 16 GB modules. Twelve 600 GB 10K SAS drives provide 7.2 TB of raw storage in a 2.5-inch chassis.

RAID controller and remote management

A PERC H330 12 Gb/s RAID controller manages the internal drive array, freeing CPU cycles for application work. iDRAC8 Express gives administrators out-of-band access for deployment, monitoring and firmware updates without touching the console.
