Dual-socket Xeon server for office workloads

The PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server designed for small-office and remote-office environments. It ships with two Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors, each with 14 cores running at 2.0 GHz and a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 ECC memory and eight 4 TB SAS drives provide a ready-to-run platform for collaboration, mail, file, print and web serving.

Verify rack space, memory growth and network needs

The chassis occupies 5U of rack height and uses an LGA 2011-3 socket platform with an Intel C610 chipset. Twelve memory slots are available, allowing expansion up to 384 GB of DDR4. The integrated Broadcom 5720 dual-port 1 GbE LOM and iDRAC 8 Express remote management handle network and out-of-band access. Plastic mounting feet are not included, so confirm your rack-mounting method before ordering.

Redundant platinum power supplies

Two 750 W platinum-efficiency power supplies operate in redundant hot-swap mode. The PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through. Eight 3.5-inch 7.2 K SAS drives are hot-swappable from the front, simplifying drive replacement without powering down the server.
