The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors, each running at 2.0 GHz with 14 cores. It ships with 384 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 12 slots. The system targets small offices and remote sites that need single-server performance for collaboration, mail, file, print or web serving.

Sustained load with redundant power and RAID

Two 750 Watt platinum-efficiency hot-swap power supplies provide redundancy during continuous operation. The PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache and battery backs RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for consistent throughput under heavy I/O. iDRAC 8 Express enables remote monitoring and management without interrupting the workload.

Eight 3.5-inch SAS/SATA bays and 1 GbE networking

The chassis holds eight 3.5-inch drive trays supporting SAS or SATA drives; no drives are installed. Network connectivity is limited to the integrated Broadcom 5720 dual-port 1 GbE LOM. Memory capacity is capped at 384 GB, so workloads requiring more RAM cannot be accommodated.
