The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U rack server built around two Intel Xeon Gold 5118 processors running at 2.3 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency. Each CPU provides 12 cores, giving 24 cores total for multi-threaded workloads. It ships with 128 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across 16 slots, expandable to 1 TB.

PERC H730P controller

Storage is handled by a Dell PERC H730P 2 GB 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and pass-through modes. The chassis includes eight 2.5-inch hot-swap drive trays from a 16-bay backplane, allowing a mix of SAS, SATA and SSD media. No drives are installed.

Dual 750 W platinum power supplies sustain full load

Redundant hot-plug 750 W platinum-efficiency power supplies maintain operation if one unit fails, protecting uptime during continuous database or virtualization tasks. Integrated dual-port Gigabit Ethernet and iDRAC 9 Express remote management provide out-of-band monitoring without interrupting the host OS. Front bezel and rack rails are not included.
