Storage Controller Constraints

The Dell PERC HBA330 controller provides 12 Gb/s SAS and SATA connectivity for up to sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays. It operates in HBA mode without hardware RAID processing, so redundancy and array management depend on the operating system or software layer. Four 960 GB SATA solid-state drives are already installed in the chassis.

Processor Scaling Limit

The LGA 3647 socket board supports a maximum of two processors, and both sockets are already populated with Gold 5120 CPUs. No further CPU upgrades are possible on this platform. Buyers who need higher core counts or additional sockets must select a different server model.
