Dual Xeon Gold 5218 16-core server

The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U rack server fitted with two Intel Xeon Gold 5218 processors running at 2.3 GHz with a 3.9 GHz turbo frequency. Each CPU provides sixteen cores for a total of thirty-two cores across the system. The platform targets virtualization, database hosting and business-critical workloads that demand multi-threaded compute capacity. It ships in new condition with integrated iDRAC 9 Express remote management.

16-bay SFF chassis with HBA330 controller

The chassis provides sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays served by a Dell PERC HBA330 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA storage controller. Four 1.92 TB SATA solid-state drives are installed, leaving twelve bays available for additional SAS, SATA or SSD storage. Two 750 W platinum-efficiency power supplies deliver redundant hot-swap power. Sixteen DDR4-2400 ECC registered DIMM slots support up to 1 TB of memory, with 64 GB currently populated across four modules.

Dual Xeon Gold 5218 processors maintain 2.3 GHz base frequency across all thirty-two cores under continuous load, while the 3.9 GHz turbo engages opportunistically within thermal limits. ECC registered DDR4-2400 memory corrects single-bit errors during extended operations. Redundant 750 W power supplies and hot-swap drive bays allow component replacement without service interruption. The HBA330 controller provides direct SAS/SATA connectivity without RAID overhead for sustained sequential I/O.
