The server uses cryptographically signed firmware, Secure Boot, silicon root of trust and optional system lockdown to protect hardware integrity. Data-at-rest encryption is available on self-encrypting drives with local or external key management. Front bays accept up to eight 2.5-inch NVMe, SAS or SATA SSDs or up to sixteen E3.S NVMe direct drives for high-throughput local storage.
