Dual Xeon workstation

The Dell Precision T7810 is a tower workstation built around two Intel Xeon E5-2650 v3 processors. Each chip provides ten cores at 2.3 GHz and hyperthreading gives 40 virtual cores in total. The system ships with 32 GB of DDR4 2133 ECC memory across eight DIMM slots and a 1 TB 7.2K SATA hard drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Capacity and headroom

Memory can be expanded to 256 GB using the four slots per processor in quad-channel mode. The six-port Intel SATA controller at 6 Gb/s supports RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 for internal arrays. Two internal 3.5-inch bays, one external 5.25-inch bay and a slimline optical bay provide room for additional drives. Five full-length expansion slots allow extra graphics or I/O cards.
