Precision T7820 Adapter Purpose

This adapter enables installation of 3.5 inch and 2.5 inch drives inside the Precision T7820 tower workstation. It fits the chassis drive bays and supports SATA and SAS interfaces for storage expansion. Professionals adding local project volumes or backup arrays use it to integrate additional capacity without external enclosures.

Installed Drive Configuration Change

With the adapter fitted the system can address up to four internal drives alongside the existing 16TB HDD and 512GB NVMe SSD. The 950W power supply delivers sufficient headroom for the extra spindles and any RAID controller added through the PCIe slots. Tool-less chassis access keeps drive swaps quick during active CAD or rendering projects.
