This 146 GB Dell Cheetah 15K.5 spins at 15000 RPM and connects through a 3.5" SAS 3Gb/s interface with a 16 MB buffer. The drive targets enterprise storage arrays and compatible PowerEdge servers that require high IOPS in a 3.5-inch form factor.

Suited for hot-swap server bays

The SAS interface and hot-swap design make it a direct fit for listed PowerEdge models such as 1950, 2900, 2950, 2970, 6850, 6950, 840, 860, R200, R300, R900, R905, SC140, SC145, SC440, T100, T105 and T300. Builders without a SAS backplane or hardware RAID controller cannot use this drive. Buyers needing more than 146 GB of space or a different physical interface must select another product.
