This internal card reader converts a spare 3.5" floppy bay into two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port, an SD slot and a Micro SD slot. It is aimed at desktop builders who want fast front-panel access to memory cards and extra USB connections without opening the case each time.

Requires a USB 3.0 20-pin motherboard header

The hub connects to a single internal USB 3.0 20-pin header on the motherboard; without that header the unit cannot function. No driver installation is needed for Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP, Mac OS X, Linux or Chrome OS.

Tool-free mounting with one screw bag supplied

The unit slides into the bay and is secured with the included screws, then plugs into the 20-pin header. The only common issue is discovering the motherboard lacks a spare USB 3.0 header, which makes installation impossible.
