PCIe USB 3.0 Type-C expansion card
The EN-Labs PCIEU3C20SC adds one external USB 3.0 Type-C port and a dedicated 2.4 A quick-charge port to a desktop system. Two internal 20-pin headers provide four additional USB 3.0 connections for front-panel bays. A 15-pin SATA power connector supplies the extra current required for charging. The card fits any PCIe x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot.
Suits builders adding front-panel Type-C
This card is aimed at PC builders who want a modern Type-C port and a high-current charge-only port without replacing the motherboard. It does not suit users who need data transfer on the charge port or who cannot spare a SATA power lead from the PSU. NEC UPD720201 controller with 5.0 Gbps USB 3.0
The onboard NEC UPD720201 host controller delivers up to 5.0 Gbps SuperSpeed data rates and supports XHCI 1.0. It is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. Driver media is included for Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and Linux. The single controller handles all external and internal ports simultaneously.
