Hot-swap tray installation

The replacement kit includes the carrier tray required for hot-swap bays in compatible Dell PowerEdge chassis. Installation slides the assembly into the front bay until the latch engages. A common issue is forgetting to seat the tray fully, which leaves the SAS connector misaligned and the drive invisible to the RAID controller.

Verify SAS backplane and generation

Confirm the server model appears in the supported list for 14 Generation R240 through R940xa or 15 Generation R250 through R7525 and T150 through T550.
