The ESTONE E05 is a compact enclosure that lets you connect a 2.5 inch SATA SSD or HDD to any USB 3.0 port. It accepts drives between 7 mm and 9.5 mm thick and supports capacities up to 2 TB. The tool‑free design means you can swap drives in seconds without a screwdriver. It is aimed at users who need quick external access to a spare laptop drive.

Tool‑free build with USB 3.0 and UASP

A sliding tray locks the drive in place without screws and the USB 3.0 Type‑A connector plugs straight into a laptop or desktop. UASP support is included, which can improve throughput over the older bulk‑only protocol. Two LEDs show power and activity status at a glance. A PU pouch is supplied to protect the enclosure from knocks and scratches during transport.

Passive cooling and bus power

The aluminium‑style shell acts as a passive heatsink, so the drive runs silently with no fan required. Power is drawn entirely from the USB port, so no external adapter is needed. Transfer rates reach the USB 3.0 ceiling of 5 Gbps, though real‑world speed depends on the drive and host controller. The enclosure works with Windows, macOS and Linux without installing drivers.
