8-Port USB 3.2 Expansion Card

This PCIe add-in card adds four USB-C and four USB-A 3.2 ports to a desktop computer. It is aimed at builders and upgraders who need more high-speed peripheral connections than the motherboard provides. The board draws power directly from the PCI Express slot so no extra power cable is required. Each port includes overcurrent and static protection for reliable operation.

PCIe x1 Lane Bandwidth Limit

The card fits x4, x8 or x16 slots but operates over a single PCIe 3.0 or 2.0 lane. That single lane caps total throughput below the combined 10 Gbps potential of all eight ports when multiple devices transfer simultaneously. The interface does not support the Thunderbolt protocol or video output. Compatibility issues have been reported with certain Dell motherboards running Windows 10 or 11.

No Low-Profile Bracket Included

The card measures 4.76 inches long with USB-A ports standing 0.71 inches tall and uses a vertical port orientation. It does not ship with a low-profile bracket, so it will not fit 1U or 2U server chassis or other small-form-factor cases. Buyers with slim enclosures must source a suitable bracket separately or choose a different card.
