The Fractal Design North FD-C-NOR1C-02 is an ATX mid-tower case finished in Charcoal Black steel with a real walnut front panel and a dark tinted tempered glass side panel. It supports ATX, Micro ATX and Mini ITX motherboards and ships with two Aspect 140 mm PWM fans pre-installed at the front. The front I/O provides one USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports and two audio jacks.

Upgrade from cases lacking front Type-C

Builders moving from older mid-towers gain a front USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C connection and the ability to mount a 360 mm or 280 mm radiator at the front. The jump is worth it when a modern motherboard header is available and a high-wattage CPU or GPU demands the extra cooling surface. GPU clearance reaches 355 mm with the front fans in place and 300 mm when a 360 mm front radiator is fitted.

Sustained load behaviour with included Aspect fans

The two included 140 mm PWM fans move air through the walnut front panel into a steel interior that holds up to six 120 mm or four 140 mm mounts. Top radiator support stops at 240 mm with a 35 mm RAM height limit, while the rear accepts a 120 mm radiator. A CPU cooler up to 170 mm tall fits, and the power supply area allows 255 mm length with one drive tray or 155 mm with two trays installed.
