What the kit includes

This GW Security system bundles an 8-channel 4K NVR with six 5MP IP turret cameras and a pre-installed 2TB hard drive. It is designed for home or small-business owners who want a complete, plug-and-play surveillance setup using Power over Ethernet cabling. The package covers up to eight camera positions while supplying six units out of the box.

Recording capacity and headroom

The NVR records at up to 4K 2160p across all eight channels using H.265 HEVC compression, which reduces file sizes compared with older codecs. Continuous, motion, scheduled and alarm recording modes are supported. With the included 2TB drive, storage will fill faster at maximum resolution and frame rate; users planning long-term 4K retention should expect to add or replace the drive sooner than at lower settings.

Thermals noise and power draw

The NVR and cameras operate on PoE power delivered through the network cables, so no separate camera power supplies are needed. Cameras are rated for outdoor use with 100 feet night vision and a 2.8mm 115° wide-angle lens. The recorder provides HDMI and VGA outputs up to 4K for local monitoring, while the built-in microphones on each camera capture audio alongside video.
