8-Channel 4K NVR with PoE

The Gyration CYBERVIEW N8-TAA is an 8-channel network video recorder that accepts 4K, 5MP, 4MP, 3MP, 1080p, 960p, 720p and legacy resolutions over eight PoE RJ-45 ports. It targets installers who need a single box for up to eight IP cameras without separate switches. The unit ships without a hard drive and supports one SATA disk up to 6 TB. HDMI and VGA outputs provide simultaneous local viewing at up to 3840x2160/30 Hz.

Upgrade from DVR or smaller NVR

This recorder replaces analogue DVRs or 4-channel NVRs when the site demands more cameras and higher resolution streams. The jump is worth it when Ultra 265, H.265 or H.264 compression must reduce storage and bandwidth while keeping 4K detail. ONVIF Profile S, G and T support lets you keep compatible third-party cameras instead of ripping out existing infrastructure. Rack or desktop install with PoE cameras

The compact chassis measures 10.20" x 9.40" x 1.90" and weighs 2.20 lbs, so it fits on a shelf or in a shallow rack tray with minimal clearance. Connect each camera to the built-in PoE ports, plug the single 48 V DC supply, and the recorder negotiates 10M/100M links automatically. Common issues: exceeding the 6 TB per disk limit, forgetting to format the SATA drive before recording, and running cables longer than the 100 m Ethernet spec which causes dropouts.
