Suits SATA M.2 drives only

The adapter accepts Key-B M.2 SSDs that use the SATA communication protocol across the four supported lengths. It works with Windows XP and later, Linux and macOS without extra drivers. Builders who need to connect a PCIe-based M.2 SSD cannot use this enclosure because the circuitry does not support that protocol. Users without a USB 3.0 Type-A port will also need a different solution.
