It ships with dual Intel Xeon E5-2603 v3 six-core processors at 1.6 GHz and 128 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory across 16 populated DIMM slots. The Smart HBA H240 controller provides RAID 0, 1 and 5 for SAS and SATA drives. Redundant hot-swap power supplies support continuous operation.

Fit and limits

This server suits workloads that need balanced CPU cores and large memory capacity in a single rack unit, such as virtualisation hosts or database nodes. The eight 2.5-inch SFF drive bays limit raw storage density compared to larger chassis. The embedded Matrox G200 graphics with 16 MB video memory is intended for management consoles only. Buyers who require more than eight drive bays or GPU-accelerated compute should look elsewhere.

Deciding specification
