The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 fits a single rack unit and ships with two Xeon E5-2670 v3 processors. Each CPU provides twelve cores at 2.3 GHz, giving 24 physical cores and 48 threads with hyper-threading. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory are installed across the 24 DIMM slots. B140i software RAID limited to SATA drives

The onboard B140i controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 but only with SATA media. SAS drives are not supported by this controller, so arrays requiring SAS must use an additional HBA. Eight 2.5-inch SFF bays are available, though only two drive trays with screws are included. No drives or operating system ship with the unit.

Redundant hot-swap power and Matrox G200 graphics

Two 500 W hot-swap power supplies provide N+N redundancy without downtime during replacement. Video output relies on a Matrox G200 chip with 16 MB memory, sufficient for console management but not for graphical workloads. The 1U chassis leaves no room for full-height expansion cards; only low-profile adapters can be installed. Buyers who need GPU acceleration or more than two low-profile slots should consider a larger form factor.
