Purpose-built 1U rack server

The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 fits in a single rack unit and ships with two Xeon E5-2620 v3 processors, each running at 2.4 GHz with six cores. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory are installed across the 24 available DIMM slots. The platform targets workloads that need dense compute in constrained space.

Thermals and power draw

Dual 500 W hot-swap power supplies provide redundancy and share the load during normal operation. The 1U chassis uses internal airflow channels to move heat across the processors, memory and drive bays without requiring external cooling changes. Fan speeds adjust automatically based on inlet temperature readings.

Build quality and connectivity

Eight 2.5-inch SFF bays accept SATA drives; the B140i controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 for those drives only. The Matrox G200 GPU handles basic video output for management consoles. No operating system is included, so the installer chooses the hypervisor or OS that matches the application.
