Twelve LFF bays and redundant power

The chassis provides twelve 3.5-inch large-form-factor drive bays with an option to add a rear cage using the second riser slot. Two hot-swap 500 W power supplies deliver redundancy without extra cabling. The H240ar handles SAS at 12 Gb/s and SATA at 6 Gb/s, freeing PCIe slots for additional networking or storage adapters while the integrated Matrox G200eH2 covers basic video output.

Sustained throughput with ECC memory

All 24 DIMM slots are populated to the installed 64 GB limit, running at speeds the CPUs support up to 2400 MT/s. ECC registered modules correct single-bit errors during long compute runs, and the dual-processor layout keeps memory bandwidth balanced across both sockets. The 7.2K SAS drives supply steady sequential bandwidth for logging or backup workloads rather than bursty random I/O.
