H240ar 12Gb SAS RAID controller

The Smart HBA H240ar provides 12Gb SAS and 6Gb SATA connectivity with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 support. It manages the two installed 1TB 7.2K SAS drives and any additional drives added to the eight SFF bays. This controller choice locks the storage path to SAS/SATA; NVMe drives require a different backplane option not included here.

32GB DDR4 with 3TB ceiling

The system arrives with 32GB of ECC registered DDR4 spread across the 24 slots, leaving ample room to scale toward the 3TB maximum. Two 1TB SAS drives give a starting point for mirrored or striped arrays, while the eight-bay chassis can accept up to 16 or 24 drives with optional cages. Memory speed will follow the processor capability up to 2400MT/s.
