The HP ProLiant DL380 G9 is a 2U rack-mount system designed for data-centre workloads. It ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2630 v3 eight-core processor running at 2.4 GHz and 8 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. Dual 500 W hot-swap power supplies provide redundancy for continuous operation.

Upgrade path from limited capacity

The chassis supports a second processor to reach 16 cores and 32 threads, while 24 DIMM slots allow memory expansion up to 3 TB using 4 GB to 64 GB modules at 2400 MT/s. Eight 2.5-inch SFF bays accept SATA or SAS drives, and the B140i controller handles RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 for SATA devices. Additional NVMe or SFF cages can be fitted in the second and third bay positions when performance or density requirements grow.
