Twenty-four small-form-factor drive bays and the P440 controller with 4 GB flash-backed write cache make it suited to storage-heavy workloads such as databases or virtualisation clusters. Redundant 500 W power supplies and hot-swap trays support continuous operation.

Tool-free drive bays and rail kit

All 24 SAS trays slide in from the front without tools, and the rail kit mounts the 2U chassis in standard four-post racks. The P440 controller auto-detects RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60, but the supplied 1 TB 7.2 K drives limit write throughput; heavier write loads will need faster SAS or SSD media. Memory population rules require matching DIMMs per channel across both CPUs.

Sustained load with redundant cooling

Dual hot-swap fans and dual power supplies keep temperatures stable during extended compute or storage tasks.
