Smart Array P440 controller

The onboard P440 RAID controller provides 12Gb/s and 6Gb/s SAS connectivity with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Its 4GB FBWC protects in-flight writes during sustained random I/O, keeping latency predictable under heavy database or virtualisation loads. Dual 500W redundant power supplies maintain operation if one unit fails or a feed is lost.

Twenty-four hot-swap SFF bays and 24 DIMM slots

The front chassis holds 24 small-form-factor drive trays with screws supplied, allowing a mix of SAS SSDs and HDDs without tools. Memory scales through 24 DDR4 slots across two processors, supporting modules up to 64GB each. The Matrox G200eH2 graphics core provides basic console output only. No operating system is included.
