Build integration and expansion

The Smart HBA H240ar controller handles SAS and SATA drives with RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60 support. Two 4TB 7.2K SAS drives are fitted in the front bays, leaving ten bays open for additional 3.5-inch drives. A rear cage option can add further LFF or SFF capacity using the riser 2 slot.

Bundled controller and storage impact

The H240ar HBA delivers 12Gb SAS and 6Gb SATA connectivity, enabling the pre-installed drives to operate in any supported RAID level without a separate card. No operating system is included, so the installer chooses the platform. Matrox G200eH2 graphics provide basic console output for management tasks.
