It includes two 600 GB 15 K SAS drives managed by an H240ar controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. The chassis provides eight 2.5-inch SFF bays and dual 500 W hot-swap power supplies.

The server supports a second processor and up to 3 TB of DDR4 ECC registered memory if your workloads demand more capacity. Ensure the H240ar controller firmware is compatible with any existing SAS or SATA drives you plan to add. The eight SFF bays accept 2.5-inch SAS or SATA drives; NVMe options require the optional bay 2 upgrade.

Build quality and daily operation

Redundant hot-swap power supplies and drive trays allow component replacement without downtime. The Matrox G200eH2 GPU handles basic video output for management consoles. Front-accessible SFF bays simplify drive swaps during maintenance. The H240ar controller provides 12 Gb SAS and 6 Gb SATA connectivity for the installed drives and future expansion. No operating system is included, so plan for your own installation media and licensing.
