This 2U rack server ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2643 v3 six-core processor running at 3.4 GHz and 32 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. Fits a standard 2U slot with room to grow

The chassis accepts a second Xeon v3 or v4 processor and provides 24 DDR4 DIMM slots for up to 3 TB total memory. Eight 2.5-inch SAS drive bays are populated with two 1 TB 7.2 K drives; the H240ar controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Dual hot-swap 500 W power supplies deliver redundancy, and the open bay 2 and bay 3 allow NVMe, additional SFF bays or a universal media bay to be added later.

Bundled controller and drives simplify first

The Smart HBA H240ar provides 12 Gb SAS and 6 Gb SATA RAID without a separate card purchase. Two factory-tested 1 TB SAS drives arrive in trays ready for immediate array creation. No operating system is included, so licensing and hypervisor choice remain under your control. Buyers who need GPU acceleration or fibre-channel connectivity will need to add those cards separately.
