The single-processor memory ceiling is 96GB across 12 slots, and this unit already reaches that limit. Adding a second Xeon E5-2643v3 would unlock the remaining 12 slots and raise the system maximum to 3TB, but the current build cannot accept additional modules without a CPU upgrade. Verify whether your workload fits within 96GB or plan for a second processor before ordering.
