The HP t740 bundles an AMD Ryzen V1756B quad-core processor with 8 GB of DDR4L-2400 memory and 32 GB of M.2 flash storage. HP ThinPro ships pre-installed, making the unit ready for VDI or cloud-workspace deployments. Integrated Radeon Vega 8 graphics drives up to three displays via DisplayPort and USB-C. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 handle wireless peripherals and network access.

The 90 W external adapter accepts 120 V AC and 230 V AC input, so verify socket availability at the desk. Two mounting brackets and a quick-release kit are included for VESA or under-desk installation. Seven USB ports (two 2.0, three 3.1 Gen 1, one 3.1 Gen 2, one USB-C 3.1 Gen 2) cover keyboards, mice and smartcard readers. Gigabit Ethernet is provided by a Realtek RTL8111EPH controller.
