The HP Z2 Tower G4 is a new desktop workstation built around an Intel Xeon E-2174G processor with four cores, a 3.8 GHz base frequency and up to 4.7 GHz turbo. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4-2400 memory, a 500 GB hard drive, Intel UHD Graphics P630 and Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. A 500 W internal power supply is included.

Suited to entry ISV workloads

This system suits engineers, students or home-office users who need certified Xeon stability for single-threaded CAD, BIM or simulation tasks and who value Windows 11 Pro manageability out of the box. Buyers who want fast boot and application load times should look elsewhere because the only storage is a mechanical hard drive. Users needing GPU compute, hardware video encode or large local datasets will also need a different platform.

Tower chassis accepts standard ATX upgrades

The tower form factor provides internal bays and full-height PCIe slots so you can add a discrete graphics card, additional drives or more DDR4 memory without proprietary constraints. The 500 W supply delivers headroom for mid-range add-in cards while the integrated UHD P630 drives up to three displays via the motherboard video outputs. No monitor is included so you can choose the panel that matches your colour-critical workflow.
