This HP Z4 G6i workstation is a new tower desktop built for professional workloads that demand ECC memory and vPro manageability. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, an English keyboard and a mouse included in the box. The air-cooled chassis uses a 1200 W power supply to support sustained compute tasks.

Intel Xeon 636 with 48 MB L3 cache

The single installed processor is an Intel Xeon 636 running at a 3.50 GHz base frequency with 48 MB of L3 cache. It uses the LGA-4710 socket on the Intel W890 chipset and supports vPro Technology plus ECC memory. Only one CPU can be fitted, so the 64 GB DDR5 ECC registered configuration (2 x 32 GB) occupies two of the eight available DIMM slots.

Tool-less tower access and DDR5 ECC modules

The tower chassis provides tool-less entry for memory and storage upgrades, while the 1 TB PCIe NVMe 4.0 x4 SSD occupies one M.2 slot. Installers must use DDR5 ECC registered DIMMs; non-ECC or older DDR generations will not function. The 10 USB ports include one USB 2.0, one USB 3.0 and one USB Type-C 10Gbps connector alongside a single Gigabit Ethernet port.
