The HPE BL460c G9 fits into a c-Class enclosure and delivers two Xeon E5-2660v4 processors with 14 cores each at 2.0 GHz. It targets workloads that need high thread counts in a half-height form factor. Buyers who need GPU acceleration or more than two internal drives should look elsewhere.

Build integration and expansion limits

The half-height blade occupies one slot and uses the P244br controller with 1 GB FBWC for the two 2.5-inch SAS drives. Memory reaches 256 GB DDR4 across the installed DIMMs, leaving no free capacity for upgrades. A 10 Gb two-port 562T adapter handles network connectivity.

Bundled controller and remote management

The Smart Array P244br provides hardware RAID with flash-backed write cache for the 900 GB 10K drives. Integrated iLO Advanced gives full out-of-band control, firmware updates and console access without a local keyboard or monitor.
