The HPE BL460c Gen10 fits into a c-Class enclosure and delivers two Xeon Gold 5220S processors running at 2.7 GHz with eighteen cores each. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory and two 1.8 TB SAS hard drives are installed. The Smart Array P204i-b SR controller manages storage while a FlexFabric 20 Gb two-port adapter handles networking. Integrated iLO Advanced provides remote management.

Sustained load behaviour

Dual processors share a 24.75 MB cache and can scale memory to 128 GB across available slots. The blade form factor relies on the enclosure’s shared cooling, so thermal headroom depends on the overall chassis configuration and workload density. The SAS drives and integrated graphics are suited to general-purpose virtualization and database tasks rather than high-throughput GPU compute.

Installation notes

The unit mounts vertically in a supported HPE c-Class enclosure; no rail kit is included unless requested separately. Firmware and BIOS are updated to the latest stable release before shipment and a full burn-in test is completed. Buyers who need more than two internal drives or a different drive interface must choose another platform because the blade chassis limits the bay count to two 2.5-inch devices.
