The 8SFF chassis supports up to eight 2.5-inch drives through an HPE Smart Array P440 SAS controller, while dual 500W Flex Slot power supplies provide redundancy. Integrated Intel I350 and X540 network adapters deliver two 10GbE and two 1GbE ports, and HPE iLO Advanced handles remote management.

The dual 20-core CPUs and 384GB of DDR4 suit virtualisation clusters, database nodes and high-thread-count workloads that fit within the two-socket limit. The eight-bay 2.5-inch chassis fits storage-heavy configurations using SATA or SAS drives. Organisations requiring more than two processor sockets, larger 3.5-inch drive bays or GPU acceleration should evaluate alternative platforms.
