The 8SFF chassis supports up to eight 2.5-inch SAS drives, making it suited for hypervisor hosts or database clusters that need many cores and large memory capacity in a 2U form factor.

Smart Array P440 plus dual 500W supplies

The installed P440 SAS controller provides hardware RAID for the drive bays you populate, while two 500W Flex Slot power supplies deliver redundancy out of the box. Integrated iLO Advanced remote management and a quad-port network card with two 10GbE and two 1GbE links are already fitted, so the server can be racked, cabled and managed remotely without extra hardware.

Verify rack depth and drive caddies

Measure your rack to confirm it accepts the 36-inch depth before ordering. The chassis ships without drives or drive caddies, so you must source compatible 2.5-inch SAS drives and the correct HPE caddies separately.
