The Inctel I32-i3 6100U-8G256G is a fanless desktop computer built around an Intel Core i3 6100U dual-core processor running at 2.30GHz with Intel HD Graphics 520. It ships with 8GB DDR3 memory and a 256GB SSD in a compact aluminium chassis. The system targets industrial automation, digital signage and edge gateway roles where silent operation and a small footprint are required.

Mounting and expansion considerations

The aluminium case acts as a heatsink, so the unit must be mounted with free airflow around its surfaces; enclosing it in a sealed cabinet without thermal coupling will cause throttling. Two Intel i211-AT Gigabit LAN ports, six COM ports, four USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports are provided, plus HDMI and VGA outputs. A Mini-PCIe slot with an embedded SIM slot accepts 3G or 4G modules, while one MSATA and one 2.5-inch bay allow storage expansion; the single DDR4 SODIMM slot supports up to 16GB at 1866 or 2400MHz.

Sustained-load thermal behaviour

Because the 15W TDP processor is cooled entirely by the case, temperatures rise gradually under continuous compute or network workloads rather than spiking in short bursts. The fanless design eliminates acoustic noise and moving-part failure, but prolonged heavy utilisation will eventually hit thermal limits and reduce clock speeds until the chassis dissipates the accumulated heat. Performance therefore stabilises at a lower steady state rather than maintaining peak turbo frequencies indefinitely.
