Compact 2U rackmount chassis

The iStarUSA D213MATX-DE1SL-SL is a 2U rackmount server chassis with a silver front bezel built from aluminium and steel. It accepts Micro ATX motherboards and provides four low-profile expansion slots for add-in cards. The design targets small business servers, remote office deployments and test environments that need rack density without full ATX dimensions.

Thermals noise and power draw

Airflow moves front to rear through the 2U enclosure using the installed fans to cool the CPU, memory and up to four low-profile cards. Drive temperatures stay within operating limits when the single hot-swap bay and two internal 3.5" bays are populated. Acoustic output is typical for a 1U or 2U rackmount server running in a server room rather than a quiet office.

Trayless hot swap bay and drive support

The single 3.5" trayless hot-swap bay accepts SAS I and II as well as SATA I II and III drives, allowing drive changes without tools or system shutdown. Two additional internal 3.5" bays provide fixed storage for operating system or backup volumes. The four low-profile slots support RAID controllers, network adapters or other half-height cards needed for the workload.
