The iStorage diskAshur2 SSD provides 512GB of encrypted storage in a 2.5 inch form factor. Access is granted by entering a 7-15 digit PIN on the built-in keypad before the drive becomes visible to the host. No software installation is required, so the drive works on any device with a USB port across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Chrome, thin clients and embedded systems.

Sustained transfer rates and hardware protection

Sequential reads reach up to 361MB/s and writes up to 358MB/s over the USB 3.2 interface, maintaining those speeds for large file transfers rather than short bursts. All data is encrypted in real time by an on-board AES-XTS 256-bit engine validated to FIPS PUB 197, while the Common Criteria EAL4+ ready microprocessor locks the drive into a deadlock frozen state after repeated failed attempts. The IP56 rated enclosure resists dust and water splashes during daily transport.

Upgrade from unencrypted portable drives

This drive replaces standard external SSDs or hard drives that rely on software encryption or no encryption at all.
