It reads and writes CDs and DVDs for software installation, media playback, data backup or ripping discs to digital files. The drive is powered entirely from the USB bus and requires no separate power supply or driver installation on Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS or Linux.

With no moving parts other than the disc motor, the unit runs quietly during typical read and write tasks. Power is drawn directly from the host USB port, so there is no external adapter to manage and no additional heat source inside a compact workspace. The aluminium shell helps dissipate the small amount of warmth generated during sustained burning sessions.

Maximum 24x CD and 8x DVD Write Speeds

The drive writes CD-R and CD-RW media at up to 24x and DVD±R media at up to 8x, which determines how quickly you can create discs or rip large archives.
