Random performance hits up to 85,000 IOPS on reads and 60,000 IOPS on writes.

Controller tuned for reliability

An LSI SandForce controller customized for Kingston manages the MLC memory to keep performance consistent over time. The drive draws 0.640W at idle, 1.423W during reads and 2.052W during writes, helping battery life in portable systems. MTBF is rated at 1,000,000 hours. Operating temperature spans 0°C to 70°C and storage temperature spans -40°C to 85°C.

2.5 inch SATA drop-in

The standard 2.5 inch SATA connector fits existing drive bays and caddies without adapters. With no moving parts the drive resists shock up to 2.17G peak while operating and 20G peak while powered off. Vibration tolerance covers 7 to 800Hz in use and 10 to 2000Hz at rest. Each unit has been erased to DoD 5220.22 M standard and tested good; up to 25 bad sectors may be present and cosmetic markings can vary.
