The Kioxia KCD8XPUG7T68 is a 7.68 TB enterprise solid-state drive built for read-heavy workloads such as big-data analytics, online transaction processing and virtualisation. It uses a 2.5-inch 15 mm form factor with a U.2/U.3 interface and is rated for one drive write per day over a 24x7 service life.

PCIe 5.0 x4 and PLP

A PCIe 5.0 32 GT/s x4 link delivers up to 2 000 K random-read IOPS and 200 K random-write IOPS, while sequential-read throughput rises 60 to 80 per cent over the previous PCIe 4.0 generation. On-board power-loss protection and end-to-end data correction preserve data integrity during unexpected power events.
